Have you ever experienced the eye of a hurricane?
Amidst all of the chaos and business of New York it’s easy to be swept away into a hectic life. Luckily, for you, there’s a place where you can find tranquility.
I was sitting in Bryant Park and thinking to myself how wonderful and peaceful it was. That’s when I decided to share it with you!
This is just a taste of Bryant Park. It’s the side of the park. On the left, you can slightly see the ice skating rink walls, behind the blue umbrellas. Yes, I’m a Starbucks addict, which meant I clearly had to take an artsy photo of my drink.
Bryant Park is located between 5th and 6th Avenues and 40th and 42nd streets. It’s slightly larger than 9 acres of precious public land, which occasionally hosts activities. Currently, they have their ice skating rink called Winter Village, open for only $20!! You really can’t beat that!
During the summer, the Park is beautiful with green grass and cute little tables to sit at. It’s perfect for enjoying a good book, eating lunch, or catching up with a friend. Bryant Park also hosts film festivals and giant yoga classes if you really want to branch out! I hope to maybe sit in on one of the yoga days and tell you more about that.
You can’t really tell in this picture that we are at the Park due to the fact that the camera was aimed away from the grass and also most of the grass is covered by the skating rink. Here I am yet again trying to get an artsy photo smiling at my drink.
A few weeks ago my sister Brijony Marquis, and my friend Jonathan joined me on a fun ice skating day there. We spent hours just skating around, people watching and enjoying the sunshine that day. It was perfect! If you want to find a cute romantic place for you and your significant other, this would be the best place to take them! Imagine the scene in Elf where they’re skating while holding hands. That could be you!!!
We weren’t holding hands but here is a cute picture of my sister and I from that day of skating. It was super fun and 10/10 would recommend!
If you have never been to Bryant Park, you are missing out on a beautiful little park in Manhattan. On the other hand, if you have been to Bryant Park and had an amazing experience I’d love to hear about it!
